  • Overview

    The Financial Analyst at IDT will work primarily with internal financial reporting requirements, and will have a principal role as a business partner to the Commercial & Research teams, providing insightful, actionable analysis.


    Essential Functions:

    • Drive forecasting processes throughout the year for the commercial teams
    • Guide budget owners on principles of accounting, budgeting and forecasting
    • Provide comprehensive variance analysis, including identification of gaps, trends, and opportunities within the company and recommendations for possible course corrections
    • Build financial models to assist with forecasting & ad-hoc decision analysis
    • Collaborate with global finance partners to drive accurate forecasting
    • Monitors results in the general ledger to ensure that the flow of transactions is correct for the needs of internal and external reporting
    • Provides timely, organized and informative analysis
    • Partners with the commercial and R&D teams to understand and serve business needs
    • Drives process improvement
    • Participates, develops and documents processes for key accounting and business process initiatives
    • Maintains accurate records in compliance with GAAP
    • Develop business intelligence capabilities; PowerBI dashboards

    Departmental Specific Functions:

    • Serves as a process and ERP functional expert for Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting.
    • Partners with managers for the creation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Prepare accurate and complete monthly reporting for Management comparing these to actual results.
    • Fulfills additional reporting needs on an ad-hoc basis, as requested by internal Operational customers.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields or equivalent work experience required

    Professional Experience:

    • Prior experience preferred
    • Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP) preferred
    • Prior experience with business intelligence platforms (Power BI) preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Exert up to 20lbs. of force occasionally and/or up 10 lbs. of force frequently

    • Sitting: to assume a position in which the weight is largely supported by the buttocks, usually with the body vertical and the thighs horizontal.

    • Pushing/Pulling: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
    • Climbing: stairs, stools, ramps, ladders. 

    Visual Acuity:

    • Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.
    • Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer.
