IDT is seeking a Molecular Biologist to work in the Enzyme Development group. The individual will work under the direct supervision of a more senior Research Scientist, working on developing and improving genomic applications. The individual will have wet lab bench experience, and proven abilities to carry out standard experimental techniques like quantitative PCR, cloning, Sanger DNA sequencing, UV and Vis Spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis, use of liquid handling devices, and basic bacteriological growth. Attention to detail and ability to keep comprehensive scientific records an absolute requirement.
The ideal candidate will be a recent Master graduate with one year of experience, or possess a Bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of lab experience (this experience may include experience gained from education).
This is an INTERMEDIATE research position, and more commonly associated with a title of "Research Assistant" in the Midwest.
