  • Overview

    The Network Engineer will support the enterprise network by installing and maintaining a variety of technology platforms as well as assisting with daily user requests and corporate projects.


    Essential Functions:

    • Installs and supports a physical LAN/WAN infrastructure globally consisting of a mix of platforms.
    • Monitors network operations to ensure security and availability.
    • Configures and maintains Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge server hardware infrastructure
    • Configures and maintains the fiber channel storage fabric and associated storage systems.
    • Designs, configures and maintains a secure enterprise wireless infrastructure.
    • Designs, configure and maintain all corporate datacenter operations including Power, cabling and security.
    • Identifies risks associated with technology decisions
    • Plans and implements changes effectively
    • Works effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes
    • Embraces the company culture by aligning behaviors with IDT’s core values and actively pursuing the company’s mission
    • Performs other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience – Required
    • Cisco CCNA or higher certification - Required


    Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of seven or more years of work with corporate computer systems and infrastructure components - Required

    • Advanced routing, switching and packet flow knowledge. - Required
    • Advanced wireless design and management knowledge. - Preferred
    • Intermediate Cisco UCS platform knowledge. - Required
    • Advanced firewall and VPN design and configuration. - Preferred
    • Advanced fiber channel and SAN design and configuration. - Required
    • Identify and resolve conflict - Required
    • Make decisions using available resources and sound judgment - Required
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers - Required

    • Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
    • Standing: maintaining an upright position.
    • Walking: moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
    • Lifting: raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
    • Using Fingers/Grasping/Feeling: writing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers or palm and perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touch.
    • Repetitive Motion: substantial movements (motion) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
    • Bending: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.
    • Pushing/Pulling: using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward/using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
    • Climbing: stairs, stools, ramps, ladders.


    Visual Acuity:

    • Work requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to read pertinent printed material and distinguish colors.
    • Ability to prepare and read written documentation; use of computer.
