  • Overview

    The Senior ERP Analyst (SAP - VC, PP, QM) applies their expertise in Variant Configuration and Production Planning to design and implement solutions that handle the production requirements for IDT’s SAP solution. In addition, their strong analysis skills are applied to troubleshooting issues in the product configuration, production, and quality processes in SAP.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides leadership in the areas of SAP Variant Configuration, Production Planning, and Quality Management.
    • Performs configuration activities and fixes within the Variant Configuration, Production Planning, and Quality Management modules while keeping in mind impact on upstream and downstream systems.
    • Collaborates with the Global Business Solutions team to create and maintain the VC model including but not limited to Dependencies, Characteristics, Classes, Configuration Profile, BOMs and Route.
    • Performs variant configuration for standard and custom products.
    • Understands SAP VC integration with the web and provides guidance on best approaches for integration with SAP VC.
    • Interfaces with external consultants in support of the IDT SAP solution.
    • Performs rigorous unit testing, regression and stress testing. Understands the process of writing and executing complex integrated test scripts.
    • Identifies opportunities and facilitates communication that can improve efficiency of business processes.
    • Provide rapid resolution of production critical and customer facing issues and carries out thorough root cause analysis to ensure permanent corrective action is in place.
    • Communicates highly complex, technical information to non-technical personnel to ensure the successful identification of root cause and corrective action.
    • Defines, documents and monitors the change control process for their responsible areas.
    • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or manufacturing-related field is required; advanced degree preferred. 
    •  

    Professional Experience - Required

    • Minimum of 5 years working experience in one or more of the following areas of SAP: Variant Configuration, Production Planning, Quality Management.
    • Experience in designing and building solutions in S4/HANA.
    • Experience implementing and supporting SAP solutions.
    • Can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and has experience working with the business gathering requirements and implementing solutions.
    • Can demonstrate strong communication skills.
    • Has worked at least 2 years in a post go-live environment.

     Professional Experience - Desired

    • Experience developing solutions in VC.
    • Current hands-on experience with VC.
    • Experience working with Super BOMS, Super Routings, and work centers.
    • Experience with:
      • Variant Tables;
      • Variant functions;
      • Expertise in class items;
      • Creation of classes, characteristics, object dependencies, and configuration profiles;
      • Setting up ALE;
      • Troubleshooting IDocs;
      • Variant pricing.
    • Experience implementing and supporting SAP solutions that have highly-complex manufacturing operations with a high degree of product optionality is required.
    • Experience in product model change process and managing model changes in a production environment.
    • Experience with execution and setup of MRP.
    • Experience working with data load tools like LSMW, GUI-Scripting, ECATS etc.
    • Integration experience with 3rd party or in-house built applications.
    • Experience in other SAP functional or technical areas is preferred.
    • Experience working in a SOX-compliant environment.
