  • Overview

    The BOM & Routing Specialist will play a pivotal role supporting our manufacturing, engineering and purchasing teams with the maintenance of bills of materials (BOM) and routes in our SAP system. Enforces and executes data quality by creating, maintaining and cleansing BOM and routing data according to specified guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    • Researches and resolves conflicting information
    • Analyzes data discrepancies and determines a method for data to be cleansed
    • Follows data standards, processes and procedures
    • Communicates with end users to assist in validating information
    • Creates and maintains SAP material master (MM) data
    • Understands what the SAP Material Master fields do and drive in a manufacturing environment
    • Maintains BOMs and Routings in SAP
    • Provides immediate support to production issues related to the BOMs and routing structure during the product life cycle to ensure continuity of business
    • Reviews and seeks understanding of operational business procedures and methods specific to functional business areas by mapping current business processes, defining and analyzing business activities, proposing best practices, and recommending solutions
    • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge of developments in a specific discipline and/or other related technical fields in order to recommend innovations to improve the quality and effectiveness of the business solution
    • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education, Licensure, Certification, Registration

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
    • SAP experience preferred

    Professional Experience:

    • Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
    • SAP experience preferred
    • IDT manufacturing experience preferred
    • Prior knowledge/experience with Master Data in SAP preferred
    • Knowledge and/or experience with manufacturing product releases and BOM management, SAP Materials Management (SAP MM), S4 HANA preferred

    • Sitting: to assume a position in which the weight is largely supported by the buttocks, usually with the body vertical and the thighs horizontal.

    • Bending: bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist and/or bending leg; bending legs at knee to come to rest or kneel.
