Overview

The Manager of Payroll & Systems directs and oversees the development, implementation, maintenance and management of the company’s North America (NA) payroll function. This position will ensure pay delivery is timely, accurate and compliant for NA payroll. This role will also manage and maintain the Human Resources systems of record, ensuring data integrity and security. As well as, support ongoing process improvement activities and provide metrics to bring greater efficiency to HR as well as the entire company.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs staff which would include employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to ADP, Finance and Executive Management.
  • Ensures payroll is paid accurately and timely; ensures all required reporting is delivered.
  • Ensures that daily quality and control measures are followed.
  • Performs as subject matter expert for North America payroll tax, application upgrades, company transfers, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Funds HSA, Flex and 401K accounts.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.
  • Performs analysis on HR data issues and determines required actions.
  • Proactively identifies process improvements and system enhancements; effectively implements changes.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in research and analysis activities into causes of pay issues; recommends and implements approved long and short-term solutions for best practices.
  • Ensures the end-to-end payroll processes are met according to policy and regulatory requirement.
  • Performs internal audits and prepares materials in event of external audit
  • Manages all HR technology solutions including the HRIS and collaborates with IT in the application implementation, maintenance and ongoing operations.
  • Ensures confidentiality and appropriate security access with the systems in place.
  • Acts as first point of contact for HRIS issues and complex reporting needs.
  • Develops reporting and dashboard analytics to support business needs.
  • Provides customer support to HR, managers and employees.
  • Demonstrates and upholds behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values and delivers the Integrated DNA Technologies experience to customers and other business associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR Management or related field OR equivalent experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPP preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • Five or more years of payroll management experience and HR systems in a publicly traded company required.
  • Three or more years of experience managing direct reports preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADP services preferred.
  • Managed vendor relationships preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday system setup required.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point required.
  • Prior experience with Workday and ADP preferred

Travel Requirements (anything requiring an overnight stay):

Occasional travel (Up to 20% of time) is required.

 

Physical Requirements:

Exert up to 10lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to a minimal amount frequently
