Overview

The Financial Analyst role will be part of the Sales Reporting & Support team within Finance and will be responsible for accurately reporting sales, measuring against PY and plan and implementing enhanced sales reporting metrics. Additionally, this role will assist in the revenue planning and forecasting cycle to provide forward looking forecasting and analysis to Sr. Management. Successful candidates will be driven individuals with the ability to design and drive process improvements and collaborative efforts across the business.

Responsibilities

Position Specific Essential Functions:

  • Reports global sales on a monthly basis and compares to PY, plan and forecast
  • Assists in facilitating the quarterly sales forecasting and annual sales planning processes
  • Reports daily sales to senior management; provide analysis and metrics on sales orders and revenue backlog
  • Collaborates with sales, HR and global controllers to calculate and report commissions on a quarterly basis
  • Contributes to transition of sales reporting processes to new ERP system
  • Assists in fulfilling requests from IDT’s external auditors
  • Provides ad-hoc sales reporting requests to Sales Leadership, Product Managers and Sr. Management
  • Actively partners with operations to ensure revenue recognition standards are adhered to and accounted for in accordance with GAAP

Job Specific Functions:

  • Monitor results in the general ledger to ensure that the flow of transactions is correct for the needs of internal and external reporting
  • Provides timely, organized and informative analysis
  • Drive process improvement
  • Participates, develops and documents processes for key accounting and business process initiatives
  • Serves as a process and ERP functional expert for Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting
  • Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields or equivalent work experience required

 

Professional Experience:

  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills required
  • Prior experience with a Business Intelligence tool preferred
  • Prior FP&A experience preferred
  • Prior experience with SAP preferred 

Other Job Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, and to communicate conclusions and recommendations when appropriate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Exert up to 20lbs. of force occasionally and/or up 10 lbs. of force frequently
